Went for ice skating. Skyline view was gorgeous and it gets better once it gets dark. Check in process was easy, you get a discount if you live or work in the area. They have lockers, you can bring your own lock or buy a lock from them.

It was a very modern and cool place to be at night. It rained a little when we got there, so the benches outside were wet. Otherwise, a good trip.

This review is for the outdoor rooftop ice skating. The views are amazing with the Brooklyn Bridge and skyline. The rink is not too large but still is not as crowded as you would get in Rockefeller center or Bryant park. There is an indoor bar with good selection of festive alcoholic drinks. Ice skating admission and rental was $35 pp on a weekend night

Pier 17 was nice. I appreciate the fact that it's not crowded like the other rinks. If you don't know how to skate, you could sit off to the side without paying while your kid skates. Let's not forget about the gorgeous views.

For any visitor to Manhattan, Pier 17 is worth a visit. The views of the Manhattan, Brooklyn, the bridges, and the East river are fantastic ! Spring/Summer/ Fall are the best times to visit. But, even in Winter it is worth visiting, just make sure to dress warmly, the river and sea breezes can make it feel much colder than it is.. In summer, the breezes are refreshing, its natural air conditioning..

They made the ice skate rink an oval rather than the heart shape and it felt much more spacious than a video review I saw on YouTube (with the heart shape). Friendly service, r17 bar had one of the tastiest burgers I've had and drinks were equally tasty. Views were awesome; felt surreal.

It's not like the old Pier 17 (AKA) the South street Seaport, since it just got high end resturant's in there and a winter ice skating rank on the roof for the winter so its now a Venue and not a tourist attraction anymore. Hey its a change that is made everyday for the next generation. Make way for the new, we just have to remember the old.

What an incredible venue! So much happening in this area. Cool restaurants to eat at downstairs and once you get upstairs the views are unbeatable! The venue was clean and workers were very nice! Prices for food and drinks at the venue were as expected. I highly recommend it!

Loved the view, you have toons of options if you wanna grab a drink or do brunch. Lots of dinning options as well. There are available tours that you can purchase in site and also museums. Staff seem very friendly in general. Very peaceful place you can just go an relax. Whether if you wanna enjoy the Brooklyn Bridge view, the pier or the Manhattan view, this is a good place to go.

Pier 17 is a hidden gem. There are restaurants with great views of Brooklyn, the Brooklyn Bridge, East River and the New York Harbor. It's easy to get to and not crowded. But I feel that won't last long. Once everything is open and warm, this place is going to be THE PLACE!

Great view of the water, skyline, and Brooklyn bridge. Competent, helpful staff, thorough security team, and overall a very swanky ambiance for such low prices. Only complaint would be congestion upon exiting, but this is normal for concert venues. Would recommend!

Great view of New Jersey and plenty to do bike rides walks eateries you name it

It's a great mooring. We went by water taxi and it was a lot of fun. Thank you very much. At the pier there is an ice cream seller... in front of him caution is necessary: He has no price tags and arbitrarily takes different and overpriced prices.

Lovely place. View is nice of brooklyn and the water. The ice rink is a bit small but very cute.

This was amazing! The price is so reasonable for the amount of time that they let you skate. The warming hut with hot drinks and snacks is a welcome little rest area. The views of the skyline make this a great place to go skating.

Went on a Wednesday evening for ice skating. It was such a nice experience. The check in process was quick, fill out a waiver, pick up your skates and your off. The rink is pretty small, but for a Wednesday night there was a small crowd. The view was awesome. They have an indoor area where you can lounge, but food and drinks. The server was very friendly and attentive! The grilled cheese and soup is pretty good. I’d get it again!

Tons of fun at the ice rink. Take advantage of the season membership and neighborhood discounts. The staff is polite.

The old pier 17 was iconic. The new modernized look is taking away from the historic NY skyline. I miss the big white letters on the red building. Stop destroying the historic places in NY

The right place to take awesome photos of the Brooklyn Bridge...drink a good cocktail but also make a good shopping on Fulton St.

The food looks healthy cook, decent presentation and taste good. But, a bit expensive. So, I would recommend to share 1 dish if you are not that hungry. Around 40$ (without the tip) almost 2 plates + drinks is good. But, the Buffett presentation still a bit expensive (sorry is my opinion).

Really nice place to visit. There are restaurants, shops, museum, ice skate rink, lots more..The new Seaport in renovation - up and coming place!!!!

Had VIP tickets for a rooftop concert and it was a perfect day. Sunsetting on the NY skyline. Great view of the Brooklyn Bridge. The rooftop venue is big yet small. Even in the back you feel close enough. Definitely a unique experience for a concert. Didn't get enough pictures of the place while it was still light out.

Enjoyed a delightful afternoon at the skating rink overlooking the river...with views of the Statue of Liberty and the Brooklyn Bridge. Our grandsons skated while we sat in a cozy glass room, drinking hot chocolate, while watching them skate.

If you are living in the NYC area. Ice skating is free. I suggest to go sure in the summer. It's amazing. Of course, gorgeous view on the Brooklyn Bridge.

Even with the construction still going on, it was a great place for my granddaughters to ride their scooters. From the roof top level there is generally a cooling breeze coming off the East River and I enjoy watching all the boats as well as the skyline on both sides. There are convenient vendors selling drinks of all kinds and snacks plus a nice restaurant. Right beside Pier 17 is an interesting old sailing ship that you can tour and right across the street is the whole South Street Sea Port Center with dozens and dozens of stores, sights and restaurants. It's a great place for tourists but a third to half of the people seem to be locals who visit regularly.

Great venue. Amazing views of the city and especially the Brooklyn Bridge. Standing only unless you paid for the few VIP areas where there were a few seats. They had sliders which were good but 20 bucks for 4 sliders. Mixed drink was $14 and soda was 5 maybe 7.

Great place to get together with a group. Although it was cold out, it made a wonderful ice skating experience. Good hot chocolate to warm up to as well.

Papa Roach puts on an amazing show!! I had never been to Rooftop at Pier 17 before. Cool venue but I'm definitely not trying to go see another band play there. $60.00 for TWO mixed drinks served in small plastic cups. Granted they were "doubles"...but they weren't a real double . A double in a plastic cup that small should have been almost all alcohol. Not the case here.

In the summer it’s a magnificent venue for concerts, great bar atmosphere or simply a place to relax and catch up life with friends. In the winters it’s transformed into Winter Wonderland, great venue to ice skating. All by the Hudson River overlooking the Brooklyn Bridge. Pier 17 is full of history but always looking to the future as well. Love this Pier. Dejando huellas...Montserrat

Good attraction, don't miss it if you like the Big Apple. It is on south east side of downtown. Good view to the Brooklyn bridge.

This is the first time I have been here since the renovation. I worked filming at the skate rink and it was FABULOUS! The view at night was amazing! I am sure the rest was great too.

Its lost it's old peir feeling, just a modern box now. Was 100% better before.

I love this place! It is family oriented. You can also take a nice Leisure walk. A great photo op location! The sceneries are breathe taking! There are seesaws to play with and ice skating on the roof in the winter! And great live band venues here too! Thank you for your service.

The best venue in NYC!Totally the best! The view, the quality of service and food, all events — everything is amazing! I had been missing the old South Seaport for years but have to admit, the place we are getting now is so much better! It’s very modern and top-notch.They have a lot of free events with this gorgeous view. I attended some great movie nights, sports classes, and block parties. Everything was perfectly organized, the personnel is always friendly and attentive. Summer concerts are awesome and I highly recommend to get VIP tickets. For a reasonable price you get the finest food and drinks, impeccable service, relaxing atmosphere and yes, this stunning view!!!

A great place for the family. It is on the roof of a building on pier 17. There is a small skating rink along with several lounges where you can have drinks while warming up. Then as an added bonus the views are spectacular.

Very nice area to hang out. In the Winter they have an ice skating rink on the roof and in the Summer they have concerts on the roof. There's alot of good spots to eat or just hang out and have a drink. Theres alot of shopping near by as well. Parking is hard so take the ferry to Pier 11 and walk a few blocks North.

Great sight seeing point to see East side of Manhattan and across Brooklyn. In winter there is an Ice Skating ring where it's pure entertainment. Must visit. Summer is even better.

Cool new place to check out in New York City. This is the Old South St., Seaport which has been rebuilt into modern facility.

Amazing venue! Saw The Lonely Island here and was definitely impressed. The bartenders were friendly and quick. Their sound system is awesome. Great sound quality without damaging your hearing. Lastly, the view of the city is top notch. I'd recommend getting there early to get a good spot by the stage. My only criticism is that you need to leave the venue space and go to a different floor to use the restroom. Definitely coming back here in the future!

Beautiful vantage point right on the East River with views of the Brooklyn Bridge and across the water to Dumbo.Watch the ferries come in and out from the nearby wharves and enjoy festivities on the P17 Rooftop - concerts, ice skating - any season, there is something going on. Also home to some nice restaurants.

Pier 17 has a great view really cool to take pictures, restaurants are so good and drinks are amazing, in the winter they have an ice skating rink price is 28 for entrance and rental. In the summer you can take your own drinks if you want and have fun on the bench. The only thing is that there is a lot of construction going on and also there is not a lot of people going therefore Is always like quiet and somehow lonely. But hey don’t get disappoint there is a lot of things to do around the area!!!!

NYC is my home... Pier 17 has changed a whole lot, however... it's still amazing. The rooftop ice skating, and the food is great... the hot chocolate is to die for... lol...!!!

Just saw a concert on the rooftop of Pier 17 and this has become one of my favorite venues for live music. The views of downtown NYC are breathtaking (especially after far) with the Brooklyn Bridge as a backdrop to the stage. Plus, despite being a sold out show (Squeeze) we had room to breath and dance unlike many general admission shows where you’re packed in like sardines. The staff was friendly and helpful and the surrounding location has lots to do. Good drink options but would liked to have seen some snack options [maybe there were but I missed them?].All in all I highly recommend catching a show or two there. Note: I believe they are rain or shine.

Great spot for a stroll/ walk by or staying for food/ drinks or a chill out. Surrounded my bars, restaurants and rooftop bars! Great new modern place along the pier with views of the two bridges. Surprised with how much seating there was to be able to look out along the water! Really peaceful and so worth stopping by for the view and staying on for the amazing newly available amenities!
